This time last year, I had difficulty picturing what my life would look like in a year. I couldn’t even imagine the next week. Now I’m here, and the view is pretty damn good.

The statue of liberty hasn’t been lit since 9/11 and won’t be re-lit until the memorial towers are complete in early 2015.
